The mission of the Law Education and Disability Equal Rights Society is to connect students and relevant legal minds or authorities, together with the community to discuss the opportunities and challenges that face individuals with disabilities as they navigate their lives in Southern Nevada and beyond. This organization provides a forum where students can learn about issues related to disability law and related fields, give them a chance to advise the community about their rights, and advocate for causes worth fighting for while attending the Boyd School of Law. In addition to advocacy, LEADERS strives to be an opportunity for Boyd students to network with practicing attorneys in the burgeoning fields of disability law and education law. This organization plans to give back to the community by working closely with UNLV and Boyd School of Law to provide references for legal services and further education to Las Vegas residents to improve the cause of equity in the valley and equality under the law.
